Boyd Lake
3720 North County Rd., 11-C, Loveland, CO. 80538 – (MAP) Front Range
Canoeists paddle the lake edge while ski boats cut the waves, and colorful sailboats skim the blue water, all against a stunning mountain backdrop. That’s Boyd Lake, a 1,747-acre water sports haven between the plains and the mountains at the foot of snow-capped Longs Peak. Power zones for water skiing, wakeboarding, and riding personal watercraft and no-wake zones for paddle sports, fishing, and “floating” make boating fun for everyone.
Enjoy Boyd Lake
The campground, located just 4.4 miles north of Loveland, has 148 paved pull-through sites, all focusing on the water. Anglers can hook white, large, smallmouth bass, bluegill, carp, catfish, crappie, walleye, and yellow perch. Hang out at the beach for sunbathing, sand play, and swimming. The marina is open seasonally, with mooring slips, watercraft rental, and a store that sells fishing supplies and groceries. Visitors can also hike, picnic, watch wildlife, hunt in-season, and bike along a paved, lake-edge trail that links to the City of Loveland trail system. Boyd Lake is a great destination for residents throughout the northern Front Range. — Back to All State Parks.
